Saturday was rest and relaxation around the Indiana Dunes. I'd thought of taking the SSL to Chicago for the day but the logistics didn't work this time. Should've checked the schedule earlier. Sunday the winds from the lake dipped the temps from 90's to the 60's which made for a pleasant ride but the headwind made me less than ambitious. I meandered through the scenic neighbourhoods where you can even see the skyline peek over the horizon. I made my way to Warren Dunes, where people play like ants on a mound.
This is a shameless attempt to save the the most advanced civilization in
history from imminent self destruction by eliminating carbon emission,
dependence on foreign sources of fuel,obesity, hypertension and diabetes.
Cycling accomplishes all those things at once and helps us develop a better
understanding of ourselves, each other and our relationship to the cosmos.

I like to ride bikes, have been doing it all my life.
The rest of that crap is just a fringe benefit,
and the blogosphere gives me a chance to share my interior
monologue with virtual rather than imaginary friends.
