I feel like I can retire now!

A lifetime of searching and scrambling for my life through city traffic has finally been ameliorated (I've been wanting to use that word for years, yes!).   I have satisfied the depths of my struggle and found a commuter glove I like.   I was at the Bike Camp as a volunteer leader last week and another volunteer was wearing Glo-Gloves.   They work beautifully.   The best traffic glove I have seen before this is the Pearl Izumi hi-vis fabric, but these are more visible and lot more versatile.

 They are not a padded bike glove, but fit over any other glove easily.  A simple shell of stretch nylon fits med-xxl and is really comfortable.  They show up great in traffic and have a big red stop sign stitched into the palm.

In the dark there is absolutely no comparison.

The other guy (I was so excited I didn't even get his name) said he likes to create a blinking affect by closing and opening his fist at night.The only problem I have found is that now I have to wipe my nose backwards, because there is that big plastic reflector on the thumb which can be quite painful and could cut your nose if you wipe too aggressively.
I saw these on Saturday, ordered them from Glo-Glove.com for $23 on Monday and received them by Friday. The interweb doesn't get better that that.
Ah, the simple pleasures.
