This is a shameless attempt to save the the most advanced civilization in
history from imminent self destruction by eliminating carbon emission,
dependence on foreign sources of fuel, obesity, hypertension and diabetes.
Cycling accomplishes all those things at once and helps us develop a better
understanding of ourselves, each other and our relationship to the cosmos.

Oh, horse puckey!
I like to ride bikes, have been doing it all my life.
The rest of that crap is just a fringe benefit,
and the blogosphere gives me a chance to share my interior
monologue with virtual rather than imaginary friends.

Super Bowl Sunday

I usually end up with the super bowl on TV while I do other things. I'm not much of a football fan, but every few years the game is worth watching. I found on the morning news that the Giants are playing the Patriots, I like Eli, thats about all I know. Winter has not come to Michigan so I took the skinny tires out for a casual 20 miles this afternoon. I thought I would share a recovery drink worthy of Super Bowl Sunday.

It's got 6 times the potassium that Gatorade has, and it can make a good Bloody Mary. I'm going to kick back, polish some fenders and engage myself in the annual ritual. I remember hearing Walter Cronkite saying "It's great too see the world get together at the same time to focus on an event that has no meaning whatsoever."
