Glorious Last Hurrah

It was a day like no other, November 10th in Michigan, just like any June afternoon.   No leaves left in the trees but you can't have it all.   It was a great day for one last Riv Ride before unpredictability sets in and  Fall kicks the wheels from under the cycling public.  Leah Peterson came along for another casual rIde along the KRVT.
We did the distance to the Kal-Haven trailhead, just living the sunshine and breathing in the pleasure of a Michigan summer,  in November.
The interlude in the middle of this ride was Saffron Indian restaurant where they have finally resumed their lunch buffet.   At $18 a pop, it's pricier than the competition but worth every penny.  There's a nice selection of entrees and desserts,  all prepared to perfection.  It's a pleasure to see this place has revived after the pandemic.
The rest of the ride was spent meandering through the neighborhoods and downtown to find our way back through this glorious apparition of summertime.  From now on there will be days for pleasure, but most of the rides will be reduced to practicality dictated by the Michigan weather.
