...and decided to hit the road again. This time I am riding to my 45 year class reunion. That seems a bit frightening to me, but at least it's not a 50 year reunion. I'm looking forward to seeing the friends who are there and will miss the ones who cannot be.
Once again I relied on the train to cut the time into Chicago and rode to Joliet this time where I intend to make my way Southwest to the home of Carl Sandburg and the country side that inspired Edgar Lee Masters to write the Spoon River Anthology. Packed up and loaded with the Anthology on my Kindle, I fully expect a few country graveyards to come alive and whisper their lurid secrets to the wind as I pass.
