This is a shameless attempt to save the the most advanced civilization in
history from imminent self destruction by eliminating carbon emission,
dependence on foreign sources of fuel, obesity, hypertension and diabetes.
Cycling accomplishes all those things at once and helps us develop a better
understanding of ourselves, each other and our relationship to the cosmos.

Oh, horse puckey!
I like to ride bikes, have been doing it all my life.
The rest of that crap is just a fringe benefit,
and the blogosphere gives me a chance to share my interior
monologue with virtual rather than imaginary friends.

Christmas wishes

Get out the calorie counters and skim milk egg nog!  It's that time of year again.
Here in the great state of Michigan we are officially unprepared.
The gifts are wrapped, the trees lit and covered with baubles and candy canes,
compression socks are hung by the chimney with care waiting for new cyclometer/GPS/fortune teller gadgets to fill them, but there's no snow!
It's the first time in twenty years that I've been around that we won't have snow.
I have all kinds of plans for the snow this year, but it's gotta get caught up before I can jump in and play.
Christmas will come despite the weather and we will all have a great big ham or goose
to share with the presents we've given.
and perhaps the ice sculptures will appease our sentimental nature if the snow
tires go unused for the season (fat chance).
Here's  a BPA free water bottle raised high to all of you and yours to have a wonderful holiday weekend
Wherever you may be riding!
